Design that Kills

Kristin Cofer - Design That Kills

now it begins, now that you’re gone-

(i can’t stop staring at these wonderful things.)

these vintage postcards of the european cinema between 1895 and 1970 on flickr-

these images correlate to my film star obsession and desire to look like one- oh lust and more lust!

the well designed and beautiful opening credits of alfred hitchcock’s 1960 film psycho, which were designed by saul bass

i forgot about pandora, the music genome project and am pleasantly surprised at how good it is. you type in any band or song that you enjoy and the website customizes a radio station to YOUR musical taste- i’ve been enjoying listening to a mix of my: cure, the gun club, joy division, and iggy pop radio stations-

the photo shoot scene from michelangelo qntonioni’s 1966 film blow up (one of my favorites!)

nick cave continues to fill my earbuds, the fabulous designer lisa marie grillos gave me a mix cd of rarities and i can’t stop listening to his cover of current 93’s “pretty little horsies” and miss toni fisher’s “the big hurt”- (a song that someone dear to me recently told me about and i can’t believe i never knew before, listen for yourself, it is magical-)

other thoughts swirling around in my mind are: daydreams about moving to the east coast, pretty dresses by heartbreaker fashion, future photo shoots, downloading good iggy pop and the gun club records, daily iced coffees, while walking down market street and staring at the sky and just figuring it all out- (for now.) xoxoxoxoxo.
