(i can’t stop staring at these wonderful things.)

these vintage postcards of the european cinema between 1895 and 1970 on flickr-

these images correlate to my film star obsession and desire to look like one- oh lust and more lust!

the well designed and beautiful opening credits of alfred hitchcock’s 1960 film psycho, which were designed by saul bass

i forgot about pandora, the music genome project and am pleasantly surprised at how good it is. you type in any band or song that you enjoy and the website customizes a radio station to YOUR musical taste- i’ve been enjoying listening to a mix of my: cure, the gun club, joy division, and iggy pop radio stations-

the photo shoot scene from michelangelo qntonioni’s 1966 film blow up (one of my favorites!)

nick cave continues to fill my earbuds, the fabulous designer lisa marie grillos gave me a mix cd of rarities and i can’t stop listening to his cover of current 93’s “pretty little horsies” and miss toni fisher’s “the big hurt”- (a song that someone dear to me recently told me about and i can’t believe i never knew before, listen for yourself, it is magical-)

other thoughts swirling around in my mind are: daydreams about moving to the east coast, pretty dresses by heartbreaker fashion, future photo shoots, downloading good iggy pop and the gun club records, daily iced coffees, while walking down market street and staring at the sky and just figuring it all out- (for now.) xoxoxoxoxo.

I have missed you dear readers and am happy to report that today has been beautiful. Today I am walking around san francisco in my new favorite polka dotted tights and polka dotted dress and at lunch consumed a glass of white wine and scrumptious cupcake with one of my favorite faces, illustrator ryan casey. In fact, the day is so sunny, and my disposition so bright, I rather feel like a cupcake myself!

some favorite things, that i bookmark here and there, lusting, and observing, and wanting:

jessica-m has an etsy shop! and i have already had her save a few of my favorite pieces for soon to be purchases. i have also mentioned so many times before, what a fantastic artist she is, look at her recent work, brilliant!

this etsy seller iheartnorweigianwood, who has a cute haircut and disposition to match, takes vintage secretary blouses and reworks them into something new! she wrote to me recently that she found a black blouse to fix up for me, i can’t wait!

recently i was on the east coast and i met a lovely girl who models for one of my favorite online stores, modcloth in which i am lusting for these peacock tights!

vivienne westwood for melissa, i want these mary janes, so gorgeous, so beautiful, so amazing, so so so-

the MGMT song, “electric feel”- i know it is being played and played, but it makes my mouth turn up and want to dance dance dance-

having birthday drinks at a san francisco speakeasy on friday with friends- i purchased a fancy vintage black dress for the occasion and am looking forward to toasting in a new year, which i know will be amazing and full of new fun.

what happens when i visit the east coast

my girl turned blue as an iceberg do- and me I'm totally shipwrecked over her, baby baby don't blow away
